Was there an optional air pressure gauge that fits our dash?

For about a year+ I've had an eBay wishlist looking for an air pressure gauge that would fit our dash (where the spare, or the Vacuum gauge is often placed). I was hoping maybe they had them in the C60s and I'd find one.

I've never come across one. Did they even exist? Anyone have one or a picture of one?

I'm also curious what the range is. If I could find a good gauge, I've got a factory GM compressor and would like to set up an air system, but never made it past the idea stage because I can't find a gauge!

Yes, they were available in the big trucks. I have one at home. I will snap a pic for you tonight.

Re: Was there an optional air pressure gauge that fits our dash?

As stated above, they came in large trucks outfitted with air brakes.

Re: Was there an optional air pressure gauge that fits our dash?

I have one plumbed in to the air tank on my Burban. If you are interested I have a picture of the adapter fitting here.

Yes, that is what I want. Please mail to me c.o Davepl, Redmond Washington... :-)

I've had a wishlist on eBay for a long time, none has ever come up!

Re: Was there an optional air pressure gauge that fits our dash?

Upgrade your membership and post a want to buy on the Heavy Haulers section. They came on all the big trucks with air brakes. Plus the dashes didn't change in 73 like the light trucks did so there are more years to get one from.

Re: Was there an optional air pressure gauge that fits our dash?

I managed to find a complete tach + air pressure cluster at a local swap meet. Never had a use for it since my truck is not on bags. Looks better than having just a blank spot though.

Re: Was there an optional air pressure gauge that fits our dash?

I have the GMC compressor and a GMC air horn and GMC air shocks, as well as the in-dash control head, so at some point I'd like to build up a complete onboard air system.

Not sure how long it'd take that vacuum compressor to charge up the tank though!
