1971 suburban for sale in seattle, wa.

I am selling my 1971 gmc 1500 suburban. It has approx 175k ont the original 402 bb(w/ original points dist.). The motor has 175k original miles(runs good/strong & no smoke). 2WD Posi(3.07 ratio). front disk & rear drum brakes.

In the 4 years I have owned the truck I have serviced the reaend, new ujoints, replaced th400 with used rebuilt tranny w/ 50k. 2k on new tires, brakes(replaced all brake components including booster except front rotors and rear drums), alt, starter, tune-up, filter, fuel pump.

truck has full overhead ac but does not work(have original compressor and brackets from truck, removed from engine).

the interior is pretty clean. the dash /pad is good, fron seat has a few tears covered by seat cover. rear seat like new. original wood in back(onw tiny spot of rot in a corner) the body is strait. rockers/bottom of body appears to have some rust repaired with bondo when repainted.

I just put on a 600cfm edelbrock carb on it this weekend as the original quadrajet needs rebuilding. Huge power difference.

I have new front brake pads for the truck. drivers side exhaust manifold has broken stud that need to be replaced.

It has the clamshell rear doors. also has a old style welded trailer hitch and I just redid the trailer wiring(4 flat plug).

I installed a kenwood post style tape deck in the dash.

I have put $4k into this truck. This is a good solid reliable truck. Drive it as is or restore. I hate to see her go.

Might be interested, I am on temporary duty at McChord AFB in Tacoma. How far away from Tacoma are you? Any more pictures?

I am about 20 min north of seattle with light traffic. I will take some pics of her when I get home today. I do need her to get my new tent trailer to it's parking spot.
