pimp my ride

I've been watching the show 'Pimp My Ride' on MTV.. Actually, I'm more of a VH1, CMT kind of middle aged guy.. But 'Pimp' has some pretty neat ideas. (as long as you have tens of thousands to throw at your truck)
Anyway, one truck they did was an 85 Ford Ranger. (orange) The interior was what caught my eye. They did a vinyl and tweed seat with flames that where scupted into the foam padding.... they also used this effect on the head liner and the door panels.
My 78 Chev doesn't have a headliner, just painted steel. I've been planning a headliner to quiet the interior. Anybody have links, tips, or books on upholstery like this??
And just for the heck of it, I'm posting a pic of my truck. Never posted pictures here. Hope it comes out.
And thanks in advance for the help. I've learned a ton from you guys (and gals)..
Craig

ya. Usually they are fixing up beat up Hondas and Toyotas, nice to see them working on 'American' cars like ford trucks, mustangs and Pont trans ams.. They can pimp my stepside any time they want. Just, NO FISH BOWLS in the console. How long is a gold fish going to live in an aqaurium in a car ???

The rustang they did was pretty nice looking, but it was done all wrong, did you see what they did with the rotted floorboard? They took another piece of steel and riveted it to they old floor. They put an $8000 candy paint on a vehicle that has ovious rust. It looked good, but was jerry rigged like a mofo. IMO

That sheet metal over the floor loks like something a high school kid would do. Can you imagine what a pc of sh*t that car looks like up on a frame hoist?? !!
So, if you $10,000 into fixing up a rust heap, whats the resale value??

just seen pimp my ride with the '81 trans am...the paint was a nice color but the rims and the too small of a screaming chicken on the hood have to go...i liked how they had the original one how it flowed over the fenders but just not in the color they had...maybe in the second one's colors tho. All the accessories they put on were ridiculous.
