Intermittent wipers

I drove my 68 GMC yesterday in a light drizzling rain and it became obvious I need an intermittent wiper switch.

I found this while searching and was wondering if anyone has used it.

Re: Intermittent wipers

I believe there is a man on here that sells a kit for intermittent wipers . I bought one for my C20 . Easy to wire and works great . Hopefully he will chime in and tell you what he has !

Re: Intermittent wipers

These used to be at all the Auto parts stores and hardware stores, I guess they quit selling them, they do work great and it’s cheaper....

Thats an excellent kit and does not require use of 2 switches to operate. There was a thread a few weeks back about it but the trolls got it locked. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...r+intermittent
I will be using this in my truck soon.

Re: Intermittent wipers

I installed that delay in my Burban. I haven't got to use it as much as I wanted as the engine expired. It gives you a delay set up similar to an older toyota. Great if you want a stock look without a second control for the wiper.

Re: Intermittent wipers

That is interesting. I’ve been considering making my own microprocessor control circuit so I could use the stock knob and motor and no extra knobs or controls. But this will save me the trouble. The function my homemade one was going to have is: set any delay by turning the wiper off and back on just like I do now in light rain without the intermittent control, and the module would simply learn the timing I’m doing and repeat.

Re: Intermittent wipers

Thanks for the responese. I think with the above info I can do some research and change mine to intermittent wipers. The $575 is too pricey for my use since the truck is not a daily driver but I'll definitely look at the twoofakind kit.
