Re: WTB: 15x8 Firestone Wheel
Which pic is the Firestone? Two different wheels shown there, and one is four nub. Center on the 3 nub looks a lot like a KH.

Re: WTB: 15x8 Firestone Wheel
Pimpston, oem4me
Will look for more photos of identifying characters. Looked for any on the outside marks, found none. These appear to kave more dish, less back spacing then the Blazer 15x8 four nub KH wheels? Will get measurements. The bottom wheel in photo was wrong. Edited it out. Oem4me, did they make 3 nub KH 15x8 6 lug wheels? Would Firestone use KH centers? Does the band look like a KH item, shape, contours, placement of valve stem? Thanks for the help, Les Thanks, Les Last edited by aotte1; 02-01-2018 at 08:27 PM. |

Re: WTB: 15x8 Firestone Wheel
The identification on these wheels will be between the beads with the tire off Les . I have several of these, will look and see if I have any with tires off. I cant imagine Firestone making the wheel , but can see them supplying them as many company's
did.

Re: WTB: 15x8 Firestone Wheel
Thanks Jon, please let me know what you find. Them not making them makes sense. Will look for photos between beads before tires installed.
The back spacing is 3 3/4". Thanks, Les Last edited by aotte1; 02-02-2018 at 03:32 PM. |

Re: WTB: 15x8 Firestone Wheel
Notsolo, the wheels you have pictured looks more like the standard 6” wheel. Not the 8” wheel Les is looking for. You can see the depth of the setback on his is deeper than yours. You might want to make sure yours are indeed 8”. Just an observation..

I have a 6” wheel, same center as what you’re looking for. Interested?

Bruce,
Thanks for the heads-up. Those are a little different, think they may be Blazer wheel,if so offset is different. Will contact them and confirm if they are same offset. Thanks, Les |

Re: WTB: 15x8 Firestone Wheel
Les,
Did you ever find any of these? I have 3 of them. I either want to sell these 3 or buy a couple more to complete a set of 5. Let me know what you think.

Re: WTB: 15x8 Firestone Wheel
Are you sure this is not a custom wheel that someone took a stock center and had a rim/wheel shop add an outside with different offset and width? The weld looks suspicious.

Re: WTB: 15x8 Firestone Wheel
Quote:
I'm not sure who they're made by but mine are 3 nub and have exactly 4" backspace, which is about a 1/2" more than the typical 15x8 Hickey wheels. I think they're an older version. I measured and the centers around about an inch or so smaller in diameter on these than the Hickey wheels, but the rim area over the caliper is the same diameter. Anyway, since I have't been about to find another pair yet I would be happy to sell these to you. I'm thinking $60 each plus shipping. It would be quicker for me to text photos to you. So shoot me a text if you're interested. (909)645-4859

Re: WTB: 15x8 Firestone Wheel
Warren,
Thanks for your photos, are the wheels in your photos 15x8 or 15x6? The ones needed are 15x8. If you look at the last photo in post number 4, you can see a depression ring near the outer edge of the wheel, which helps identify this wheel. Paul, Thanks for the information/question. Do not know if these are custom wheels or not. Initial assumption is they are not, based on the following, found one here in KY, and three others in CA, and report of some in WI. Purchasing the ones in CA. Know you have a lot of knowledge, so your question is valid. Once I have photos from WI, and wheels from CA, will post what information found for reference. As OEM4me stated the center looks like KH type. The band is easy to identify, will check it identifiers against other GM wheels of this period. Thanks, Les Last edited by aotte1; 04-27-2018 at 12:34 AM. |
