Today’s project will involve some soldering, thanks to a PO’s attempt at repairing some other PO’s trailer wiring hack:

Re: How To: Ruin a Perfectly Good 4wd
Thanks dudes, I’m digging them, especially for the price. I wasn’t super impressed with the grey centers, but these polished TTs are very nice
Thanks for joining—more (surprises?) to come Quote:
I’ve been drooling over them since you put them on your previous project. Glad to finally have set of my own

Nice wheels. I wouldn't mind a set of those on my son's truck. My wife would kill me if I was spending money on two project trucks at the same time...LOL

From what I remember the fronts don't have enough backspacing and the rears have too much for the narrow 67-69 housing. 20x8 with 4.5" BS and 20x10 with 5.75" BS sound right?

Re: How To: Ruin a Perfectly Good 4wd
That is correct.
The fronts are equal to a 5” BS on an 8.5” wheel, which is pretty close to perfect, maybe could use another 1/4”. CPP claims an additional 7/16” narrow on their spindles; we’ll see how it goes. Rears are too much BS for an early rear, but should work with the late, wide rear. Optimal BS would be 5.5”, so 5.75” may cause inner fender rubbing at low ride heights. I’ll be running a 275/40 as opposed to the usual 295, which should afford a bit more clearance. Worst case, I install longer studs and run a 1/4” spacer, though I don’t think it will be an issue. Guess we’ll see on this one, too
