Holley carb rebuild question
While tearing the carb down i didnt pay attention to which direction the gold piece went in and in videos ive watched i havent even seen them when they remove fuel line fittings from carb so even necessary?...also my rebuild kit came with 4 different blue gaskets for between the fuel bowl/metering block and metering block/carb...my old gaskets were identical from my primary side and secondary side...am i able to order just these gaskets and not have to buy another 30 rebuild kit? I posted a pic of the old and new gaskets for the secondary side

Re: Holley carb rebuild question
cone faces out.flat end with hole goes in first against spring. We have Advanced Auto Parts stores on the eastern part of country..they stock gasket only packs...Also can go to ebay..type holley carb gaskets and different ones will come up..no need for the whole kit.

Re: Holley carb rebuild question
Dang it! I hate when that happens! I hand tighten. But then my arms are small. Maybe you can heli-coil it?

Re: Holley carb rebuild question
Yea no offense taken, i definitely feel like a dumbass. I hand tightened but it was gushing gas so tightened and checked, tightened some more but too much this time :/ it looks like a heli-coil will be ok for what im needing so im hoping thats the case

Re: Holley carb rebuild question
Heli - coil will work, use lots of cutting fluid the bodies are made of pot metal. Go slow and make many plunges cleaning your bit. Good luck. I did 4 on a Demon.
