fuel line
Have any of you used aluminum fuel line, if so any negative issues? Was thinking of using the aluminum line for my return and nicop for the supply.
Also looking for nylon dual line clamps or retainers for the fuel lines. Saw some, I would like to use, while browsing on the internet a while back, but cant remember the name or web site. Thank in advance for your replies. |

The only thing I will say is aluminum will fail sooner than other materials from stress and vibration. I would never use it on the actual engine itself and if on the frame it would have to be well secured from vibration or any kind of flexing. It doesn't take much to wear a hole in it so chafe protection is important. As of several years ago it was legal to use in the NHRA. One other thing to be aware of is that lots of it is only rated for 25psi so if you planning on an LS you would be needing to make sure of the psi rating before purchasing it.

aluminum fuel line tubing...3/8" diameter with .070 wall...... is rated at over 1400 psi.....as long as it's not rubbing anywhere and chafing it works just fine
