Help ac swap needs input

I installed a heat-ac unit from Limo between my front seats 72 c10 it has a block valve for refrigerant up front is r4 compressor with dryer and a dual switch pressure sensor for coolant my question is normally this system had two evaporaters up front and the rear im using do I need to make changes for not having front unit running? thought it might need sensor to shut off compressor if it becomes to cold

Re: Help ac swap needs input

Hard to tell exactly what you need. So this is basically like a rear air unit in a Tahoe/Suburban? It has no controls of it's own? Yes, you will need some way to control the system. A stock 67-72 system has a POA valve that regulates refrigerant flow and the compressor runs constantly. Later trucks have a cycling system with an accumulator and the compressor runs on demand. It sounds like you could use a cycling switch in the line between the evaporator and compressor, but I don't know exactly how the block valve works.
