60 2 ton
Is there anything marketable on a '60 2 ton running gear? Going to go pick one up. Was thinking I might just have the body cut off and leave the frame, axles, stuck motor and trans for the scrappers. Its been sitting a long time....

Re: 60 2 ton
It is doubtful anyone would want the 2 ton running gear. If it happens to have a 261 engine, that does have some value.

Re: 60 2 ton
When I was a kid our turnip truck was a 51 Chev 1 ton. A 2 ton would have been a prized asset.

Very little regarding worth. Scavage what you can and scrap the rest.

Re: 60 2 ton
Best thing to do would be to post some pics, has it got fenders? I'm looking for a differential carrier with 7.20 gears. post pics of front and rear of diff.

Re: 60 2 ton
Kinda what I was thinking. Probably grab the carb and air cleaner off the running gear and just go with the body and front clip. Less to have to drag home...
Sorry didn't think to take any pics and its about 2 hours away. Will go after sometime in the coming weeks. |
