Help - Converted to Front and Rear Disc, now what size for hard lines
ok, so i changed out the old drum system to new front and rear disc. now i am looking to install the new hard lines. I have searched and i am trying to figure out what size to use for the hard lines. Mainly to the rear is where i am lost. I purchased a complete front SS kit from Classic Industries, but the rear hard lines, what size? i know there is one line to the Rearend dist. block then hard lined to each disc where it then converts to soft lines. these damn hard lines, what size? I read 1/4" then 3/16" but i need to make sure.

I have done more searching on here, on other places and I am still not sure what the size of the front to rear brake line should be, and then the two hard lines that run on the rearend. I can only assume that the front to rear is 1/4" and then the two that are on the rearend are 3/16".
Any help is greatly appreciated, |

I'm fairly new to 67-72 Chevy Trucks. But, I converted my 67 Camaro to 4 wheel disc with hydro boost. I used the same size lines as factory and with the hydro boost it will throw you thru the windshield if you stand on it. Don't know if it's the same with c10's, but that's my experience with my Camaro..

Thanks for the reply, that is what I will end up with if I cannot make my current setup work for me. Hydoboost is spendy, but damn do you stop.

I recently purchased a complete brake line kit from Inline Tube. Maybe look at their website for info.

Stock size lines are 3/16 front and 1/4 to the rear, probably should stick with that.
On the actual rear end the lines are 3/16 |

I have no idea what the kit you may have for the rear end, but the 5 lug rear end in my Burban has 1/4" to the flex hose to the axle then the lines on the axle are 3/16". The fitting on the axle end of the flex hose is set up for 1/4" fittings so you have to use a 1/4" inverted flare to 3/16" tube fitting. The wheel cylinders are set up for 3/16" fittings.
