Removing/Installing trim instructions?

Bought a piece of trim but can't seem to find how to install it? LMC shipped me replacement clips along with 3 extra pieces with adhesive backing but I can't even figure out how they fit into the trim piece. I had no luck finding youtube videos or instructions online on using these clips/brackets. I also have to replace the trim piece that goes over the tailgate handle so any help pointing me in the direction of how to get this done would be much appreciated!! Maybe there's a section in the Haynes manual that I should look for?

I realized that late into the LMC trim video on youtube they describe how to use these clips: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ffYSF-9dHdo&t=103s about 24 minutes in. Still looking for help on removing the tailgate trim if anyone has any suggestions.
