OEM Factory Rims?

1. Are these likely to be the factory rims for my '68 C10? They're 15" x 5.5"

2. If so, can anyone confirm these will not allow a front disk conversion? (specifically, a disk conversion kit that fits on my existing ball joints, like ECE)

Re: OEM Factory Rims?

Concur, won’t clear. 72K15 - your original wheels in 72 would have been the 4 nub (cap retainer bumps) type and would have cleared disks. Wheels changed in the 71 model year when disks were introduced. Only the 1/2 ton Ks retained a 6 lug pattern, but the inner wheel profile is different than a 70 or earlier wheel. The only easily visually distinguishable difference though is the nub count.

Re: OEM Factory Rims?

Perfect! Thanks all for the info.

I feel fortunate to have gotten a mostly original one-owner pickup, so I’ll be keeping the rims...and now also the drums.
