Trying to decide what to remove BEFORE i paint the frame
I have all the rest of the parts of the chassis painted and ready to start reassembly. I waited until that was complete before I started on the actual frame. I would like to modify the frame any way necessary before I por15 because I don't think it's easy to touch-up.
I have the POL tubular cross member for the 4l80/60 trans with mounts but I'm not sure what exactly needs to be removed so it can be installed. It came with no instructions and I know it will make complete sense if I hover the ls engine/trans over the frame to see how it lines up, but I'd rather just "know" exactly what to remove without going through all that. I also have the 87 blazer gas tank for the rear. From what I've read on this site, the rearmost cross bars need removed. The one for what some say is for the spare, the the one at the rear most of the truck. Finally, I purchased front and rear shock relocation brackets since I'm doing air ride. I think I have everything circled needing to be removed. Figured I'd post here to make sure in case I'm missing something. Last edited by Slowguy; 10-29-2018 at 04:46 PM. Reason: pics |
