Post '87 1 ton 4 speed tranny help

my dad has an '87 1 ton with a dump body and 4 speed manual with low gear. It is very hard to put into 2nd gear if at all and is tough shifting into the other gears also. fluid level is fine. Any ideas?

Yep,
Sounds like a warped clutch plate, or way out of adjusment. I have had them get fouled up to where they don't release and make it hard to shift
