Floor pan question

I'm getting ready to put sound deadening on the floor pan and notice these little knob things sticking up. What are these for? I can take photos if no one knows what I'm talking about.

Re: Floor pan question

If they are what I'm thinking of, there are corresponding holes in OEM-type rubber floormats. They hold the mat in the correct position so it can't move around.
