BAT Restored 1970 Chevrolet C10 Pickup w/454 V8

Not mine, nor have anything to do with the sale.

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/19...c10-pickup-16/

This 1970 Chevrolet C10 pickup is powered by a 454ci V8 mated to a 4-speed automatic transmission with an adjustable stall converter. Refinished in red with a black interior, this C10 was purchased by the owner three years ago and soon after received upgrades to the drivetrain, brakes, and suspension. An engine sourced from a 1992 Chevrolet 454SS was installed and rebuilt in August 2017 with 10.2:1 compression pistons, aluminum cylinder heads, a Quick Fuel 750CFM carburetor, and ceramic coated exhaust headers. Rack-and-pinion steering controls the front wheels and a 3.73:1 differential with Positraction distributes power to the rear wheels. Other additions include disc brakes, sway bars, tubular control arms, and Bilstein shocks. True mileage is unknown, however the owner has only added 460 miles.

This truck looks really strange to my eye. Like it was a long bed that wasn't shortened correctly.

You must be referring to the rear wheels not centered up in the opening.
Could be, also could be that it sits way too high in the rear suspension and might move closer to center if lowered a bit as you can see the pretty steep angle on the trailing arms.

The ad looks like a very honest seller that is not trying to hide anything. The SPID clearly shows the truck was a long bed custom deluxe. The truck has had a small fortune spent on it, too many upgrades to count. I would have done some things differently but it is an extremely nice truck.

I do not believe the upper side trim on the bed has the correct drop slope to the rear. It looks like it was installed at an equal distance to the lower trim all down the length.

Very nice truck though, but the non-parrellel bed side moulding (like original) looks better to me than straight down the bed side.

Looking at rigs like this always make me think about How I want my truck to look when its finished.

Upper trim looks to be re-polished original, lower new repops. Side markers already dropping the stainless trims.

It matters what you do, and who makes it, and how you do it. Whether returned to Stock or Modified.

I would have also...

Yet it is one very nice looking rig.
