FL Gaylord bed cover for shortbed fleetside

Hello,

I am selling a fiberglass bed cover that fits 67-72 shortbed fleetside trucks. It is in good condition and comes with all hardware. This lid clamps down to the bed rails and there is no drilling, cutting, or welding required. I painted it tangelo orange years ago and it is in good condition but definitely not a professional paint job. Struts work perfectly. The lid overlaps the tailgate to secure the bed completely. There is one small hole in the glass underneath from when it was shipped to me. It does not affect the outside.

I REALLY don't want to ship this. I imagine crating and shipping would cost more than it is worth, and I don't trust shippers not to drop it and/or damage it. I am more than willing to meet somewhere in the middle if someone in the region would like to buy it. I can try to get a shipping quote if I absolutely have to. I doubt it will be cheap.

Asking $800. Please reply in this thread to avoid confusion.

I'm willing to meet somewhere around the middle if you are interested. I'd rather drive a few hours than try shipping it.

This is a West Coast item. Not too common to see Back East. Worth a drive to get considering a new one ships from CA

Thanks Tim. When I bought it years ago, it shipped straight from Gaylord in California. New ones are double this price plus shipping so I think it's a decent deal. I reckon if it doesn't sell, I'll crate it up and save it for a project down the road. Right now, it's just in the way.

My son has a hard cover off his pickup he removed. So I know what you mean about taking up space.

Bumping this up for this weekend. I get every other weekend off, so this would be my weekend available to travel.

I bumped this down to $750 locally, so I'll take it down to $700 here for board members.

Bump. No luck on Ebay, craigslist, or facebook. Everyone just keeps asking what I want for the truck. It gets annoying. If I wanted to sell the truck, I'd list the truck.

I've got this thing in a homemade crate, it's heavy, it's awkward, it takes up space that I'd love to free up. I'm open to any offers. My offer to meet in the middle to make the drive to get it easier is still open if anyone relatively close by wants a bed lid.
