64-66 Ventshades
NOS 64 to 66’ Ventshades, Chevrolet Accessories photo.
Just for information. If you have them on your truck please post photo, and any story about them. They are dark flat green on inside. They look to be made of stainless steel. They attach to door with two screws. Thanks, Les Last edited by aotte1; 11-21-2018 at 02:49 AM. |

Re: 64-66 Ventshades
Jocks,
Thanks for the photos of your truck, the shades look nice. How functional were they, did you like them while driving? Also, very nice truck. LT1 Burb, I have had the same thought about drill the doors. Fix is to weld up the hole if you remove them. Need to fit them on doors to see if alternative attachment method could work. David, Thanks for the information on where to find new ones. Les Last edited by aotte1; 11-22-2018 at 04:38 AM. |

Re: 64-66 Ventshades
I have them on my 66 and they work well. Can leave the windows down a bit in the summer and don't worry about the rain. I got this set off a donor truck and when I went to put them on the 66 it had the holes in it.

Re: 64-66 Ventshades
Thanks, I sure wish I still had it Sold it a little while back. I lived in the desert when I had them, so never got to try them with rain, but they were more useful as sun shades to me out in the desert than I thought they woul dbe. At least they reduced the amount of time I was blinded by the sun that always seemed to be coming over my left shoulder, no matter where I was driving, by about 50%. At first I kinda planned on removing them - but turned out I liked them - and they seem fitting in this era the best (I think anyway - but I think they look ok in square bodies and, to some extent, in 67-72s.

Re: 64-66 Ventshades
I found a set of factory ones on a 61 and the factory clock that works. That made my day.

Re: 64-66 Ventshades
Jimmy, Jacks, and David,
Thanks for all your information and history. The ones off a 61’ sound like they may be less common, then 64-66 style. Les |
