Here is the set-up that Lost Wages has on his truck. I am thinking of doing close to the same.

Is a 4 link necessary with the trailing arm and coil rear? Just curious.

Jorgensenc,
It all depends on how low you are going. Looking at many of the lowered trucks I have seen, you eventually get interference with the panhard bar or the trailing arms and the bottom of the frame. I also think it gives a much cleaner look to the rear suspension.

I was actually wondering the same thing as Jorgensenc. I want to keep my trailing arms, replace the springs with bags, and replace the tracbar with something else....but what? I understand that the tracbar will work for a "set height" like using lowered springs, so the truck runs at nearly the same height everyday, but I want adjustment ability. Can some setup like in photo 1 be used where a pair of bars connect the chunk to the frame while using my stock trailing arms? I know there is a bag-guy out there that has an idea or has done it himself. What can replace the tracbar?

The kit supplied by Airlift has a variable length trackbar and relocates the attachment point from the top of the diff to a bracket at the bottom of the right side trailing arm. This reduces most of the problems with keeping a trackbar. I have a small (4" ) notch and bags where the springs were. I have the trackbar adjusted for the 'normal' ride height to keep the alignment correct (diff centered in the frame), but when I dump the bags the frame does shift off center a little, maybe 1/2". But when dropped, I'm only cruising the parking lot, not the highway, so the offset doesn't matter that much.

ECE also offers an adjustable track bar if you go with another company for the airbags, like AirRide Technologies.
