FS: 1ton dually flatbed BB---Cheap in WA
Really solid truck & easy restore. Rebuilt 402 & TH400, mileage unknown, condition-like new! Runs smooth, no miss, no smoke, no problems.
Look at the cool molded roof lights--no rust (up there). Late model 16" wheels (no split rims). NOTE: I have to give first call on this truck to castiron9 (Rene). He has been looking for a 1 ton dually flatbed for a long time...but he is doing big house remodel and may not be able to take it...so we will see. I will sell it for $1,900, as is, or if I keep it I will probably fix things and sell for a lot more. Last edited by PICKMUP; 05-18-2004 at 10:57 PM. |

It was pretty dirty, so rockers, door bottoms & one cab corner rusted...but the rest is amazingly solid. Inner rockers, cab supports, even kick panels are perfect! I pulled the seat & rubber mat and cleaned it out & out & out, so I could tell the exact condition. I prepped & POR'd the floor where the dirt was, put in a good original red seat, belts & visors.

One of the nicest features is the commercial bed...not home-made. Built in stake pockets and a strong big rear bulkhead, all set up with a receiver hitch towing capability.
This is a very solid truck, but it has been neglected and needs TLC. Brakes pull a little, rearend bearing makes noise, windows stick and a few dents, but the rust is minimal and it runs like new. Even core support & inner fender are still solid. So I will sell it cheap and someone can put in some good old fashion "sweat equity" to have a nice truck for a little work...or ??? Is that an original factory BB? I only ask because of the low hump cab.
It's too bad more people don't buy them for what they were meant for anymore. Nothing beats a good workhorse. Nice find Frank, thanks for sharing pics.

The numbers show it to be a 72-402...so someone made the transfer...must have been a "fresh" motor...that is why it is in such good condition. Chrome oil pan was also a give away to the change.
