GMCGrim, to shorten the path through 177 posts, can you please update the op with the pictures, pricing, quantity, availability, fitment, etc.?
I have a couple of D44 front axles with factory spicer locks, one '72 1/2t and one '71 3/4t.. interested in a set for both to preserve the factory plastic ones.. thank you!

Re: Interest in aluminum hub knobs?
Sorry, but I am not making anymore of the anodized hubs and I don't have any to sell. There may some for sale on the parts board because several board members bought multiple sets .

Re: Interest in aluminum hub knobs?
Well I will give you guys the short version... The friend of mine who actually makes them for me won't make less than 10 sets because of the set up time. He prefers to make 20 sets at a time again because of the set time, especially for the 1/2 ton ones. The 3/4 ton ones are a lot faster to produce. Anyway, coming up with the cash to pay for the product then paying for anodizing was putting me in a bind sometimes. Yes I would get my money back but it took a while sometimes. So I was basically a shoestring operation. I'm definitely not sorry that I did it. And I believe there are many satisfied customers. And whenever I take my truck to a show that is one the questions I'm always asked where did I get those hubs from. I have recently been in contact with someone else who is considering making them. So stay tuned

Re: Interest in aluminum hub knobs?
You need a money man to back you up, make a large batch and vend them out to 67-72 parts suppliers to really get them out there and justify the two man money situation.
Sound so easy, right? I understand. I have had so many great ideas for producing so many parts and accys that I couldn't risk money on or flat out didn't have what funds it would take it ain't funny. Many items I have since seen someone else produce. It takes a trusted money man and a well written agreement to prevent your idea from being stolen by the one with the means to carry through with it. Just like what I lettered on the doors of my friend's truck who was in the concrete business, "Born too pour"

Re: Interest in aluminum hub knobs?
I kind of forgot about buying a couple sets of 1/2 ton hubs dials from you a few years back. If you were going to make them again I would put money in for at least two sets.
Let us know.
