'67-'68 Chevy and possibly some GMC's but I'm not up on them because I have only owned one in the last 14 or 15 years. Even though it will fit the '67 Chevy's it wouldn't be 100% correct because the '67's did not have a marker light on the side.....

Re: What does this fender fit?

I got one just like it. Its alot different than my 69. It fit my 69 but grill wouldn't work, so I was selling it and a guy came by and said it was a 68 because of the marker.

Re: What does this fender fit?

If that's a reproduction fender the only thing it fits is the box

Just having fun here

Nice one! the only problem it is a true statement with some stuff out there.

Actually it is an original fender. I just can't remember what it fits. I think I remember it wouldn't fit my 69 GMC

Is there a factory number on the fender anywhere?

Re: What does this fender fit?

How can you differentiate between original and aftermarket? Part # somewhere or other?

I assumed a reproduction would have their own number and it probably wouldn't be stamped anywhere.

So I was wondering if GM stamped a part number somewhere.

Re: What does this fender fit?

The 67-68 chevy was the same except for the marker light. And it was the same as the 67-72 GMC except for the marker light on the 67. So the 67 gmc and Chevy were the same. And the 68 Chevy and the 68-72 GMC were the same fenders.

So the fender I have is a 68 to 72 GMC and a 68 Chevy ?

To check on originality, just tap with your knuckle, you will know if it is GM or JAP crap

Re: What does this fender fit?

another way you can tell the difference between an aftermarket and an original Fender are these triangles on the inside nose of the fender. Aftermarket fenders I believe do not have these

This is the only correct answer on application.

This is incorrect with Tri-Plus/Key Parts and maybe others. There sheetmetal is same gauge as OEM. Also, there are no reproduction sheetmetal parts that I know of made in Japan. They are made in Taiwan. Big difference.

This is true and the only way I know to tell.
