What's the likelyhood of a 6 cyl,4 speed truck haveing a posi, Was this popular?
I have a line on this truck for $300 but would only be interested if its a posi

I've seen it on more inline trucks than V-8s. But that might just be dumb luck.

My 69 c10 had an inline six with a three on the tree and it had posi. It said on the option sheet in the glove box.

for 300 id buy it if it ran and drove and/or had soem decent body on it, too bad is in cali, $300 are rare to find anymore..

probly no help, but I used to have a 61 apache 10 with a posi, originally a 6 converted to 327, I miss it bad.

Mine has and did out of the factory a posi with 373 gears in it.

hey Fast, my long-bed was $200, just had to replace the right-front wheel bearings and hub!

my frame donor didn't have a posi , but it did have 3.73 gears. I was gonna take them out and put them in the housing I've already cleaned up with a nice eaton posi, but the shop that was gonna rebuild my rearend said that using anything but new gears would make it hum?

are the posis worth it? 3.73 would set my cruise at 60 at about 3000 rpm, my dads concerned about that, and the cornering problem that I've heard posis have.

I dunno if our trucks have it, neither of mine did, but.. on some vehicles there is usally a small metal tab on 1 of the bolts holding on the housing that has some #s on it, generally those #s have the info you need about gears and such. But like I said, I don tihnk we have em, or they've all been ripped off from being work trucks heh
