Gas Cap Rubber Seal
Can the rubber seal be replaced on the gas cap?

Re: Gas Cap Rubber Seal
Don't think they come apart, cheaper to just get another one.

Re: Gas Cap Rubber Seal
I cut a gasket (with scissors) years ago from an old inner tube. I figured it'd be worth a try but expected it to decompose from the gas. It's still there and works well. The nice thing about rubber is that it can be stretched into position. Makes for a nice tight cap seal. This is for a '69 with a ventilated cap if that makes a difference. Don't see how it would though.
