1970 c10 Three on the Tree

Hi, I’m wondering if anyone knows what this plug is for (attached photo) it’s on the side of a 1970 three on the tree trans. Thanks for any info.

Looks like a homemade reverse switch. OE is located at the bottom of the column, inside of the cab.
