..? For Guys With Lowered Coil Spring Trucks

...if i lower my truck ..not slammed maybe 3 to 4" range am i going to have room to run tailpipes? or do all you guys got them running out the side?

i have 3/4 drop on mine, but i'm not running the pipes out the back, they are going out the side. i'm about to switch the exhaust, but i'm just going to have them dumped at the axle.

either way, iirc there is still room even with the drop

Plety of room unless you wanted to run a really large muffler Ive got a 3/5 and i still have plenty of room for 40 series flowmasters I have mine snake up beside the trailing arm and then the muffs are in front of the rearend and dumped but i could have tailpipes if i wanted them.

Just find a good exhaust man that can bend !

mine is about a 5-7 drop & could run them out back. just watch steep driveways.
I like the sound with coming out the side. kind of in stereo with windows down JMO

I have a 4/6" drop, with 2.5" tubing all the way out the back (with aluminum fuel cell in spare tire location) A good exhaust man can tuck it up with no problems.

2.5/4.5 drop, LMC exhaust kit straight out the back on the outsides of the frame rails:

i have a 3/4 and used the exhaust kit from LMC went in with no problems it runs out the back

4/2 drop and plenty of clearance

Here is an ECE 4/2 drop. The bed is now on and there is plenty of clearance.

I am using the adjustable, because it came as a package deal from ECE. I am not sure that I needed it with the 4" rear drop, but it was there. I understand that any more than that and you will need it.

here are some pics (it's hard to get pics because it's a pain in the a@@ to get under), and we are using the stock panhard bar. On the truck we are currently building we are going to have a blown 705 cid motor and we will be running 5" dual exhaust and even that will fit - so putting 3' on yours won't be a problem.

That is a great looking undercarriage. What did you spray on the exhaust? It looks like it's coated in something.

When we do a full restoration (only when originality doesn't matter) we hand make the exhaust and then have it "Jet Hotted" inside and out.

thanks for all the info guys...not enough room on a stepside to run it like ricks but glock35's pic showed me how to get around the panhard bar instead of under or over...thanks again......
