Re: radiator drain.
You could do that. My drain on my 71 is on the lower drivers side

Re: radiator drain.
Yep, it's called a petcock and it should be on the lower drivers side at the rear of the radiator. Should look similar to this.

Re: radiator drain.
There should be a petcock situated like Mbeef61 says. You can indeed take the lower radiator hose off at the radiator and let the system drain. That's lots of fun. Is the truck new to you? maybe check the condition of the hoses and replace as necessary?

Re: radiator drain.
Unfortunately there is no petcock. The radiator seem to be on top of a metal mount but there isn't anything coming out from the the mount. Any suggestions?

Re: radiator drain.
Should be lower left corner as already mentioned. Your only option is to pull off the radiator hose

Re: radiator drain.
There were a few years where the radiators did not have a petcock. You'll have to siphon it out and/or pull the lower hose.

Re: radiator drain.
I've use a Mity Vac (Vacuum pump) to drain the coolant. Siphon works too. A lot slower, but much cleaner. Once you siphoned out all you can, pull the lower hose.
