4-speed swap into 71?

I might be trading for a 71 2wd Longbox with a 350. This truck has an auto, and I have a parts 77 2wd with a 4-speed. Can I swap the 4-speed from the 77 into the 71? How hard would it be and what would I need to do the swap? All the info you guys can give me would be great. I am not a big fan of autos and that is why i would like to swap. Thanks for all the info you guys have.

You are better oof finding a truck with the 4 speed in it. It isn't as easy to convert from an automatic to manual as it is to convert the other way. Never the less here goes... This is assuming the truck has a V-8.
Manual transmission starter
V-8 bell housing crossmember
V-8 Bell crank bracket for the frame
V-8 Bell crank
Bell crank stud that screws to the engine
Clutch rod, and associated parts
Clutch springs
Manual bell housing
Clutch
Pressure Plate
Throwout bearing
new front half of driveline
New manual transmission style carrier bearing
bracket to mount the new manual style carrier bearing
manual transmission clutch and brake pedel assembly
If you want your reverce lights to work, new wiring.
I am sure that there are other things you will need, it is hard to remember them all. Good luck. WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com
