Re: NOS GM Hydro Boost Unit

Do you have the rod that goes to the master cylinder? Do you have a part number I could do a little more homework? Is there a box?

Re: NOS GM Hydro Boost Unit

You would need a master cylinder and hydraulic lines to tie into your power steering pump. The mounting bracket on this one can be modified to fit the factory mounting or there's a guy on this board that sells a special bracket he makes that allows you to bolt it right up.

Sorry somehow I missed this post. No I dont have a pushrod for the master cylinder. I can find a part number on the unit itself and dont have the box. Ive had it on my parts shelf since I got it back in 01. I was told it was mid 80s, I believe the same unit was used between 2 and 4 wheel drive and even CUCVs. The guy I got it from dealt in CUCV parts.

Re: NOS GM Hydro Boost Unit

Here is a reman unit for a 1990 square body suburban for comparison. The only way you’ll buy the correct rod is used, in my case I cut down a rod from a vacuum booster. Also if I remember correctly by bracket looked like the one pictured before I cut the extra off.

Re: NOS GM Hydro Boost Unit

This is by no means meant to be an insulting offer but if for some reason it doesn’t sell I would give $60. Just know I would be valuing it as a core not as a low ball offer
