yes you can I ran an M21 muncie in my 71 (pretty easy swap). Remember that some of the hypo car trannies had a 1 1/8 x 26 spline input shaft, vs 1 1/8 x 10 spline on the truck trans. the centerhole on the bell is also a diff size for the car(4.683, vs 5.126 on the truck). If you use a 67 or older truck bell, you will have the proper bell to swap the car trans in. im not sure on the lenght/spline on the T -10, but the muncie (M 20/21) will bolt right in where a saginaw 3 spd came out (no driveline mods). best of luck, crazyL

I used a Hurst . the indy, super speedway, or the competion plus should work. the indy & the superspeedway were a more universal fit, & mount the shifter fairly high on the trans (not a problem in the truck). If you have a bench seat, you may have to modify the handle, or build your own to clear the seat(the handle bolts off with 2 bolts). of the 3 listed, the comp plus is the best quality. you could probably run a Ramrod (vertical gate), but would have to "butcher" the floor pretty good to fit it. Best of luck, crazyL
