Whats The Ideal Gap n Whats The Back Of The Weld Supposed To Look Like ?

I’ve had good luck with a gap equal or (ideally) slightly less than the thickness of a cut off wheel.
The back side should look similar to the weld side. Only do tacks, and only 2-3 at a time. Yes it takes forever. I’m assuming you are using a MIG?

It won’t look exactly the same, but the penetration should be all the way thru.
If the heat is right, you won’t get away with more than 2-3 tacks before it starts wanting to blow a hole thru. Those auto set machines are nice. The only thing I’ve ever had mess one up was welding right by a big magnet.

Good rule of thumb is gap the same as the wire size.

Another thing I do to help with warpage is use compressed air to cool the panel after a few tacks and I space the tacks out over the panel, not placing them right next to one another in the same heat cycle if that makes sense.

It's best if the penetration spots on the back connect to each other the same as the side being welded. That way when you grind, it still has some weld meat continuously throughout the weld.
