235 Questions: will this engine wrok since my 47 has front mounts?
I have a 216/235 mutt motor (216 block/235 head) in my 1947 3600. I have a chance to get a 235 out of a 1959 grain truck. I want it for a rebuilder to eventually replace the one in my truck. The question is: will this motor work since the 47 has front mount?

If you put the correct front plate on it to use with the motor mount Yes it will work fine.
It's been done thousands of times since the late 50's.
