Original 1967 Wood Bed
Got rid of the canopy that came on the 67 I picked up recently (thanks again Brian!) and pulled up the particle board to get a look at wood bed that’s been hiding for 52 years. Figured I’d share a pretty well preserved picture with you all!

That is awesome, wash it out, maybe some wet sanding with 600 grit.

Thank you posting. I believe the black is original paint.
I would try washing it first to remove the dirt and dust. Then look into possibly using some boiled linseed oil on the wood. There was another post awhile ago of someone else with original wood in his bed and there was a stamped date in the wood. Wonder if yours may have the same. |
