Today's DIY Project

I have been looking at the heim end clutch linkage for a while but couldn't justify the cost. This is something I could make in about a half hour if I had a lathe available for about half the cost. So I decided to try to make my own using a drill press. Took most of the day but I think it will do the job. Saving money was part of my motivation but the satisfaction of doing it myself was even more rewarding!

Looks great. Yep, nothing like the satisfaction you get from doing it yourself!

That is awesome. Want to make another one for me?
Just think, more personal satisfaction

Thanks, Maverick. If I had the proper equipment I would offer to make you a set. IMO these could be made and sold for about $70.00 a set and still make a reasonable profit.

Re: Today's DIY Project

You should chuck that baby up in your drill press and polish it out to a mirror finish!

Re: Today's DIY Project

Actually I was going to polish the rods then I remembered all the polished billet aluminum I had on my street rod and how often I had to polish it to keep it looking good. Tomorrow they are going to my powder coater for a gloss black finish along with the cross bar.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.
