sheet metal deals?

anyone know whos got deals going on new sheet metal ? im in need of both doors , grill , radiator support , cowl hood , and a battery box . I know factory stuff fits way better but im not wanting to fight rust , dings , dents , 30 layers of paint , or dents .

Re: sheet metal deals?

When I was doing my restoration I found rockauto to have the best deals. Summit was better on some smaller items due to free shipping.

Re: sheet metal deals?

Use Summit to buy Tri-plus parts from auto metal direct and get free shipping usually just a small over size fee . I just priced this lettered tailgate shipped for $333.20 shipped . It doesn't get cheaper than that .

I'm not gonna tell you about the deal I got from Mar-k on 2 bedsides and a lettered tailgate for $1080 when they were having their 20% off sale at Christmas. Since they are located in Oklahoma and I'm in Texas I didn't pay sales tax and was able to Will Call pick them up from their supplier here in Dallas

Re: sheet metal deals?

There is a place named Southwest Classics in Arlington Tx that is like a candy store for people with trucks like ours. I bought a fender, inner fender and tailgate from them and the fit perfect. Also saved me shipping since I live an hour away. Take a loot at their website.

Anytime you can drive and pick up your parts your probably going to save $ But southwest's price for the lettered tailgate was $379.00 + shipping costs came out to $588.18 / Summit $333.20 That's quite a savings . Not all of us have that option So using Summit is a sure way to save $ on shipping AND the cost of the part because they price match . Did you know you can buy MAR-K parts thru Summit ? I priced MAR-K cross sills for my 67 and with shipping they were about $240.00 Calling Summit and using them to get the MAR-K cross sills with price matching and free shipping it was $160.00 . Now I know $80.00 may not be a lot to some of you guys but when you add up all the different name brand parts you buy the total saved on price matching and shipping adds up to thousands over the course of the build . YMMV .

Re: sheet metal deals?

I’ve heard stories about poor fitting repop sheet metal especially with doors.
If you can find decent oem doors. Even if they need lower skins. You will be far better off
