kick panel vent gasket

Looking for recommendation of material to use for kick panel vent. I bought a gasket set through a vendor but the material doesn't seem right. Any recommendations?

anew4961 have you used them? The ones I have bought don't seem to be comparable to the factory material.

Thumbs up Re: kick panel vent gasket

I bought the whole vent flapper for the 68. I have also cut inner tubes up to use as the gasket and they seal better than the new ones do and they will not hang up.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: kick panel vent gasket

I just bought some rubber sheet , This ebay seller has it cheap with free shipping and different thicknesses to suit your project , I used it for the flapper vents and as a vibration layer between my rear mounted fuel tank and the frame .
