Brake pedal assembly differences

Switching cabs and moving components over from a 71 cab to a 67 cab. The brake pedal assembly that bolts to firewall and dash. Are there differences in those? I have matched them up and all looks the same but fit as though it’s longer, forcing the dash out more than normal.
