Correct Paint for Bright Blue

I just put in new seat covers (back seat is still original), foam and carpeting into my '72 Jimmy.

I need to paint the back hard shell covers to the seat.

Does anybody know a specific paint color/code that is used for the bright blue interior?

Thanks,

Pat

Re: Correct Paint for Bright Blue

I believe all seat backs were black plastic then painted to match the interior. I don’t know the number but if the console is in original paint the console door could be used for a color match at the paint shop.

Thanks Bud! I just thought somebody may already have identified a matching paint by now.

Thanks again,

Pat

I suspect the paint code is 2188, see the paint code chart. Consoles are usually about the same color as the rear armrests which i think per the chart is the same as the door panels if metal (1971).
If you want to match the seat upholstery these guys say their paint matches PUI upholstery colors, blue is color code 14 in PUI.

Thanks a lot for taking the time to post this Randy.

I'll take this to my local paint store and see what they can come up with.

Thanks again,

Pat
