Re: Another Blue Chevy

Love the '35! I had a '35 Chevy panel that I never built. Miss that truck. Same old story. Man buys truck. Man stores truck. Man falls in love. Man moves to the city. Man sells truck.

Re: Another Blue Chevy

Years ago I knew a guy with a fiberglass '35 panel set up to fit a mid 80's monte carlo chassis. He wanted to sell it as a package deal with the mold. I doubt he ever sold it.

Re: Another Blue Chevy

Mine was a complete body with frame that I got from a rod shop for some work I did for him. All the wood was gone but I am a body tech and fabricator. My new house was in town so I hat to let it go. 23 years later, I made the right decision. Still married and I love my '68 C-20!

Thumbs up Another Blue Chevy Pickup

Looking very nice .

? Is that container vented ? .

I'd love to have one of the 20' footers, they cut them in half then add roof vents and new doors, most excellent but my city won't allow them .

Thanks Nate .Yes it is vented but it is not enough to count. There are ten 3x4 inch air vents two in the back and four down each side.[see photos]

Post Container Storage

? Maybe add a few turbines on the top ? .

If you don't vent it it will cause rusting .

A friend of mine uses these containers and the moisture gets trapped easily .

? Perhaps a simple solar electric exhaust vent ? .

Re: Another Blue Chevy

Yep. Yesterday finished removing the old fuel tank. A few things about the old tank that made me want to replace it. The filler neck and the JB Weld around the outlet were the first reasons but after getting it out I see a rip in the top repaired ... again with JB Weld. I replaced it with a poly tank from Tanks inc. I used a filler neck from an 88 C10 and ran 3/8" steel line to the front.

Safety and reliability repairs is a first step in the right direction. That thing is so complete. People scoff at "older amature restorations". Let them, I'll take it! It's a great way to buy a complete truck ready for your hands wile not giving top dollar. Plus, you can always just drive the doggone thing. If restoration is your desire... it's whenever you decide it's time

Thumbs up Looking Good !

Is that a Chinese made Rochester BC copy ? .

It looks nice and the auto choke is a good up grade too .

I have a similar set up on my '69's 250 CID engine, I still use the stock Rochester carby as the throttle shaft wasn't worn out .

You'll soon by cruising and styling .

I'm calling this a semi restoration . I love the look , I'm definitely wanting reliability so brakes will get my next attention. They are mechanical ... I'm going to learn something new.
