Best ball joint grease

What is the best grease for lubricating the ball joints on my upper and lower control arms?

Is that a brand or a description?

Re: Best ball joint grease

My neighbor worked for the railroad (UP) and he gave me a case of grease years ago they use. It is very much like the red and tacky only green in color. It does not wash off with water and has got to be the stickiest stuff I have ever used. You can put a dot in the palm of one hand, rub the other palm into it, and it will string out a good 8-10 inches when you pull your hands apart.

It's almost impossible to wipe off, gotta use some sort of solvent to completely clean anything it has gotten on.

All that said, I've always been happy with the Lucas products I have used.
