68 Front sway bar???

Hi Guys,

Is it possible that my 68 originaly came without a front sway bar.

The service manual doesn't show one and mine doesn't have one.

Doesn't sound right to me.

Thanks, Mark.

The front swaybar was an option on our trucks. So unless its listed on the glove box door it probably came without one.

I've had 6 of these trucks. None of them came stock with a swaybar.

By the time I sold them though, they sure had one.

See the FAQ for the full skinny on retrofitting one onto your truck.

Please post suspension mods and wheel tire size with backspacing measurement please. I like the stance of your truck.

Thanks for the replies guys,

I am still learning about this truck myself as I cannot claim responsability for its mods and resto so I can't tell you too much.

I beleive it to be around a 4/6" drop with drop spindles up front and some big blocks at rear but as I haven't actualy seen what the stock set-up looks like so it is hard for me to be sure.

Wheels are 17" TT 2's and I will check the rubber size and backspace soon.
Tires do scrub a touch but only in severe cases of bottoming out.

It handles pretty good considering it doesn't even have a front sway bar.

Thanks again for the replies, Mark.
