Van steering coulumn??

I have a 71 c10 and I also have a 77ish van to take the tilt column out of. Is this a straight up swap or am I asking for it?

Re: Van steering coulumn??

Should require relatively simple modifications if it's truly a '77.

That's what he told me it was. Has the all metal grill. But ya it looks easy enough.

I swapped a tilt column from a ‘79 GMC van, and it was pretty straightforward. One thing with the column I went with is the steering wheel sits a bit closer to the driver.

I was all ready to tear it out, then read what I had to do and then in my head anything was bad until I read it again and now it almost is to easy. I have it so I might as well.

Do I even need to move the neutral switch? I'm not worried about it cause it probably isn't going to work since It was a 6 and a 4 speed and now a 6.0/4l80.
