Angry Need Help!!!!!!!!!!

GOT A 1970 C10 NO LONGER HAVE POINTS.GOT A HEI DISTRBUTER WITH VACUM ON IT.NEED TO KNOW HOT TO WIRE MY NEW DISTB.I HAVE ONE GREEN WIRE?ONE PURPLE?TWO YELLOW WIRES WERE DO ALL THESE GO????????

CAN SOMEONE HELP ME

All I did was run one hot wire from my fuse box (spade labelled ign unfused) to the battery terminal on the cap. If you have a tach, hook it to tach terminal. That should be all you need. You remove the wire coming from the starter solenoid back to the coil, you don't need it anymore.

some one will tell you how you can use the existing wires, however one of those wire is to comesate for the fact that a points didn't run on 12 volts, yet needed 12 to start.....

When I did mine I ran a new wire back to the fuse box...there is a open spot that is only on with ignition, this goes to the positive side of the hei (cause your coil is on top. The other side to Neg.

It's been a while....havent had a place to work on one for 3 years.....

oh and cap off the old ones btw you will find one of the old wire will go to your starter.

If your a red neck like me, all you need to do is run a power wire from the positive side of the battery to a toggle switch under the dash then out to the batt side of your hei, works good as a theft deterant

Dang, now everyone here knows how to start my truck
