Where do these go?
I bought my 56 GMC partially assembled and with a chevy front clip. I dont know what these pieces are intended for. I guess it’s possible they aren’t even intended for these trucks but i know who would know. Yes im talking about you!

Re: Where do these go?
I see a standard grade 5 mark on one of them most likely meaning that they aren't factory GM.
There don't happen to be 8 holes drilled in the bed rails for a camper shell?

Re: Where do these go?
I don't recognize them but that doesn't mean ANYTHING.
what size and length are they? possibly a previous owner repaired something like an inner fender to fender connection where the original bolts, with welded on nuts on the panel, rusted or broke off? possibly, like mr48 says, they were for some bolt on accy like a canopy or camper or a different seat that got bolted in at some point. with the back up plate it makes me think it is not a GM part because the back up plate would likely be spot welded to a panel but they could be a repair done by an owner. you know, when owners would fix stuff themselves with what they had on hand. |

Re: Where do these go?
Doesn't look stock to me. Maybe something like seat belt bolts so the plate gives you more surface area to strengthen the bottom of the cab. Maybe after market seats and these bolts tie it down? As others have said, maybe bolts for a bed floor to bolt it down or some accessory.

Ok i guess ill stop scratching my head then. It came with the factory style seat, or what was left of it. No extra holes in the cab for seat belts or holes in the bedsides for a camper. I haven’t been able to find them in the LMC catalog either.
Thanks all, i knew you would know Posted via Mobile Device |
