Under Hood A/C Actuator - Help needed

My actuator under hood not working, noticed the rod that goes through the firewall seemed loose/not connected.
Pulled off the cowl panel and yes, its got broken parts under the cowl. Doubt the assembly is reproduced ??
Second picture of plastic rubber plate seems to be broken on both ends.
Anyone else run into this ?? Is the door in the heater that this controls, very important for cooling ??
Searched for pictures and threads but didnt find much. Drawing is Assembly Manual not helpful.
What other parts am I missing (I have the screws that are not shown in first picture) ?
I know I can get the actuator and install, but need help with the under cowl stuff and how to connect it.
Any help, advice appreciated.

That's a common break point, the door is too heavy for how they attach. I have one that looks exactly like the original, only it's a lighter door. Might have been a GM replacement.

Re: Under Hood A/C Actuator - Help needed

Got the new fresh air door from LMC today. Trying to install but .... the small rod with spring doesn't seem to be long enough where it goes into the firewall.
See the yellow arrow in picture. New part has same rod length as original part rod length ??

Am I missing a part or washer or supposed to shim something ?

EDIT: I modified the spring loaded rod so it's now long enough to go into the fitting on the firewall. All good.
