Frame dimension measurements
1950 Chevy 3100
I am not in the same location as my truck right now, but trying to plan for a cab buck/dolly. I'd like to cut all my wood at my house and then transport and assemble on site. Can anyone tell me the following:
Alternatively, if there are cab dolly plans specific to an AD, I'd love to see them (everything I could find was earlier, later or didn't have measurements). Thanks in advance |

Re: Frame dimension measurements
Thank you - any chance you have a higher resolution version? I can't read the numbers!

Re: Frame dimension measurements
It's very hard to make out the numbers from the book..
It doesnt show the actual frame measurements...so this may not help.. But ..these are cab mount hole locations front mounting hole width is 47 +.031 -.094 Front to back, hole spacing is 36 + - .094 Oddly there is no measurement for rear width But on the 3600 series it shows 44...but the frame shape is diff on a 3600

Re: Frame dimension measurements
I've got copies of the same diagram here but don't know if the numbers are any more readable. As Mongocanfly said, they are hard to read when you have the assembly manual in front of you because those images are photo copies.

Re: Frame dimension measurements
maybe i can help. on my '49 3100 at the front mounts, the frame is 33.5" outside to outside. to that add 11" each side for the "outriggers" for a total of 55.5"
on the back mounts the frame is 38" out side to out side. this does not include any dimensions for the mounts. Front to back, center to center is 33.5" hope this helps.
