Electric Fuel Pump Relay
Im Installing an electric fuel pump with a relay. The pump will be mounted on the frame by the original in cab tank. My question is where have you been mounting the relay. I can mount on the fire wall or by the pump or by the battery.
Thanks Gary

Re: Electric Fuel Pump Relay
I mounted mine on the firewall next to the heater box. I routed the 10ga. red wire over the heater box and then forward across the top of the inner fender to the breaker fuse, and then from the breaker fuse to a positive terminal block. I mounted the breaker fuse and terminal block to the fender right next to the black factory terminal block. The instructions for my fuel pump indicated locating the breaker fuse close the battery and the pump as close and lower than the tank. Locating the relay someplace between the two out of the way of rain and road spray. I ran my yellow trigger wire right off the keyed 12 volt power spade on the fuse block. I also added a switched power supply to a toggle switch in the dash.

Re: Electric Fuel Pump Relay
I recommend adding an oil pressure shutoff switch for the fuel pump relay, to cut it off in the event of a collision or other problem that stops the engine.

Re: Electric Fuel Pump Relay
I agree with the oil pressure cut off. Should be easy to install.

Re: Electric Fuel Pump Relay
I used one of these.
