12 bolt posi information

So I just purchased a 12 bolt Posi rear end. It’s a truck rear end with the track bar. it has 373 gears in it. My question is how many different spline axles do these come with? I was reading somewhere that they come with a course axle? Looking to see any and all info on this. Basically I’m looking to be able to buy all new bearings and seals for it and just freshen it up and put in my truck

Re: 12 bolt posi information

You can look on the right side tube for code stamping which can help confirm year of manufacture

Late 70 and up axles will be a bit wider 63 to 69 axle will be a bit narrower

Re: 12 bolt posi information

I believe pre-66 has a different spline count than 67+. Otherwise, axle seals and bearings are the same.
