Can't Afford 20" Rims? No Problem...
Big wheels are all the rage, but they're expensive. Here's a cheap alternative:

Nope...it's just white paint directly on the sidewall.

Looks like the guy who had the spray canned White 2x6 board for a wing on the back of his mini car at the Sunnyside Walmart a few years ago has upgraded to an SUV now.
At least he won't be the poor fool showing up at Les Schwab with a sick look after his mom drove the car over a curb and busted the 600 dollar wheel and 250 buck tire he put on the day before as I saw here in Toppenish a couple of years ago. The rubber nubbies were still on the tread of the tire and the tire and rim were destroyed from hitting a curb.

I tried to make my own redlines with paint and could not find any that would stick. I even used paint made for inflatable boats, and it would not stick.
Good idea, but probably will not last long. (too much flexing of the sidewall)

Re: Can't Afford 20" Rims? No Problem...
That red line story reminds me of my 55 Buick that I had when I was 19 and maybe not nearly as smart as I thought I was.
For some lame reason in the summer of 1966 I thought I needed to give it the "gasser" look that the 55/57 Chevy guys were doing by removing the front bumper. In this photo I had just painted the stock Buick wheels bright silver and popped a new set of beauty rings on them. Then it was off to B&B auto parts in Renton Wa for a can of black tire paint and a redline stripe paint stick. I actually painted the tires black and put the red stripes on them right in the B&B parking lot. The wheels actually faked quite a number of guys out and some even won some bets with guys who thought they were real chrome wheels.
